In this 80 page preschool workbook, you can find a large number of activities. Just a few of the many activities that you will find include those that focus on colors, shapes, sizes, numbers, letters, same and different objects, larger and smaller than objects, and so forth.

Saving Money with Preschool Worksheets

In the previous post, I outlined ways that you can save money when using printable preschool worksheets to prepare your child for preschool from home or to homeschool preschool them. In addition to just printable preschool worksheets, there are steps that you can take to also save money with preschool workbook pages.

What you may want to look into doing is buying a collection of photo protector sheets. These sheets can be purchased from most department stores and office supply stores. These photo protector sheets come in a number of different sizes. You will notice that those designed for 8 X 10 pictures will also hold standard computer paper or preschool workbook pages.

What you can do is place each of your child’s preschool worksheets in a photo protector sheet. You can then keep each sheet loose or place them in a binder. You will then want to give your child a dry erase marker to use. This dry erase marker will make it so that you can simply wipe off each preschool worksheet after it has been completed. This makes it so you can not only save money on preschool worksheets, but it also prolongs the life of each worksheet.

Saving Money with Printable Preschool Worksheets

If you are like many other parents, there is a good chance that you like using the internet, as it can be fun, easy, and convenient. If that is the case with you, you may be interested in finding printable preschool worksheets for your child online.

If you are interested in finding printable preschool worksheets online for your child, you will want to perform a standard internet search. This standard internet search should include phrases such as “printable preschool worksheets,” or “preschool worksheets.”

To save you money right away, on printable preschool worksheets, you will want to find those that are in black and white print. If you are unable to find the preschool worksheets that you were looking to find in black and white print, you can still opt for those that are in color print. With that in mind, you should consider changing your printer settings.

What you will want to look into doing is setting your printer up so that it will print in gray scale only. This will significantly reduce the amount of money that you have to spend on printer ink, as you will not be using your colored ink.

Although your child would likely prefer to have brightly colored preschool worksheets, you can have them color their own worksheets. This is nice, as it allows you and your child to get even more uses out of each worksheet.

As previously mentioned, preschool worksheets are a great way to prepare your child for preschool or homeschool preschool your child. What is nice about preschool worksheets is that they come in a number of different formats. For example, you can make your own preschool worksheets on your computer, you can find printable preschool worksheets online, or you can purchase preschool workbooks.

Although many preschool worksheets are low-cost or “free,” they can still get costly overtime, especially when you take into account of the cost of purchasing preschool workbooks or the cost of ink and computer paper, when using printable preschool worksheets. There is good news though; there are a number of different steps that you can take to save money with your child’s preschool worksheets. These steps will be covered in two separate posts.

Preparing Your Child for Preschool – Dry Erase Books

Above, is a set of books that I bought at my local Dollar Tree store. Lol, if you have been reading my blog for a while now, you likely already know just how much I love the Dollar Tree.

Anyways, these books are known as dry erase books. They are educational in nature, but dry erase books come in a number of different formats. I like them because they can be used with dry erase markers. This means that they are pretty easy to clean off, you basically just need to wipe them off with a paper towel.
They are also nice because they can be used just about anywhere; at home, in the car, and so forth. I would recommend buying extra dry erase markers, even though many books come with one, just in case.

Although I purchased this particular set from my local Dollar Tree store, dry erase books can be purchased from a number of different retailers.

Preschool Workbook Reviews: Pre-K Workbooks

A while back, I did quite a few preschool workbook reviews and I am back with a few more. I would like to review two workbooks that I bought from my local Dollar Tree store. I haven’t seen them elsewhere before, but quite a few of our local Dollar Tree stores have them still and yours might as well.

The preschool workbooks that I would to review are referred to as Homework Workbooks from the Good Grades Fun Learning System. Each of these workbooks are published by the Clever Factory.

What I like most about these workbooks is that they are a little bit smaller is size, but not too much. Of course, I mean smaller in actual size, not necessarily the pages as there are still quite a few; 64 in each to be exact. The insides are actually very colorful! You may be able to tell that just by looking at the covers of the books in the pictures above. The covers were actually what drew me in and I had to have these for my daughter after I go a look at the insides.

One of the workbooks that we have is titled “First Words,” and it is for the Pre-K level. The “First Words,” workbook has pages that focus on the letters. The pages have pictures for you to color and words for your child to trace and write on their own. In the back of the workbook, there are other activities where you can match items to their beginning letters and so forth.

The other workbook that I would like to review is titled “Letters and Writing.” This workbook is also for the Pre-K level, although preschoolers can often use it as well. The “Letters and Writing,” workbook is also filled with may fun focused activities, like ABC connect to dots, coloring by letters (which reminds me of paint by numbers) and so forth.

Preschool Workbook Review: Preschool Scholar

The “Preschool Scholar,” workbook is another one of the many preschool workbooks that we own and it is one that you may want to think about buying. This workbook is published by the School Zone Publishing Company.

Perhaps, what I like best about the “Preschool Scholar,” workbook is that is focuses on farms and farm animals. That is what makes the workbook fun and exciting for many children, including both boys and girls. It is also important to mention that the workbook is very colorful and attractive.

The “Preschool Scholar,” workbook is 64 pages long and four of those pages are for you and they outline fun activities that you and your child can do at home. The rest of the preschool workbook is filled fun activities that include the tracing of shapes, the learning of colors, counting, same or different, big or small, matching, phonics, and so forth.

The “Preschool Scholar,” workbook tends to retail for around $3 to $6.

Preschool Workbook Review: My Little Pony, Numbers & Counting

Another one of the many preschool workbooks that we own is the “My Little Pony: Numbers and Colors,” workbook. This workbook is published by Bendon Publishing International.

As with the last reviewed preschool workbook, the “My Little Pony: Numbers and Counting,” workbook is nice because it is really cheap. I also purchased this workbook from a local dollar store, but it can be found other places as well, for even cheaper.

Despite being low-cost, the “My Little Pony: Numbers and Counting,” workbook is nice as it fun and exciting. In fact, it is great for girls or really any child that loves horses and ponies. The workbook is very colorful

The “My Little Pony: Numbers and Counting,” workbook has a total of 32 page. Your child will not only be able to trace numbers, as well as write their own, but they will also be able to color in fun objects, count objects, and do much more.

The “My Little Pony: Numbers and Counting,” workbook tends to retail for around .99 cents to about $3.

Preschool Workbook Review: I Can Learn With Pooh, Numbers and Counting

Another preschool workbook that we own is a Disney Learning workbook. The workbook is titled “I Can Learn with Pooh: Numbers and Counting.” This workbook is published by Bendon Publishing International.

What is nice about the “I Can Learn with Pooh: Numbers and Counting,” workbook is that this workbook is fairly cheap, yet still very nice. I actually bought this workbook from our local Dollar Tree, but it can also be found for cheaper than one dollar.

What I like about the “I Can Learn with Pooh: Numbers and Counting,” workbook is that is has Pooh and other Winnie the Pooh character in it. The book is also nice and colorful.

The “I Can Learn with Pooh: Numbers and Counting,” workbook has 32 pages, which include an answer key, as well a page of activity ideas for you and your child at home. As you can likely gather from the title, this workbook focuses on numbers and counting. In addition to traditional counting, your child can also trace numbers, learn which objects have more or less in numbers, and so forth.

The “I Can Learn with Pooh: Numbers and Counting,” workbook tends to retail for around .99 cents to $3.

Preschool Workbook Review: Preschool Basics

Another one of my favorite preschool workbooks is the Prescool Basics Workbook. This workbook is published by the School Zone Publishing Company.

The Preschool Basics workbook is 64 pages long. The majority of the workbook is designed for children, but there are a couple of pages at the end which are for you, the parent. You are given a collection of educational activities that you and your toddler can do together at home.

As for the part for children, the Preschool Basics workbook is very colorful and attractive. It is also full of fun, educational activities. For instance, your child can practice their hand-eye coordination, size comparison, colors, seasons, emotions, beginning sounds, numbers, counting, rhyming, and much more.

The Preschool Basics workbook tends to retail for around $1 to $4.

Preschool Workbook Review: The 30 Minute a Day Preschool Learning System

One of my favorite and I do mean all time favorite preschool workbooks is the 30 Minute a Day Preschool Learning System. This workbook is published by Brighter Minds Children’s Publishing.

What I enjoy most about the 30 Minute a Day Preschool Learning System workbook is that is colorful and attractive. All of the pages seem as if they jump right out at you. They scream color. Speaking of the pages, you may be pleased to know, as I know I was, that this workbook is huge. In fact, it has over 370 pages!

One of the many other things that I enjoy about the 30 Minute a Day Preschool Learning System is the way that the workbook is set up. The book is sorted out into chapters. For instance, in chapter one, your child learns alphabet identification and number identification. At the end of each chapter, there is an assessment page. That assessment page is designed for you and it offers a quick summary of what your child learned, as well as additional activities that you can do with them at home.

The cover of the 30 Minute a Day Preschool Learning System workbook claims that the book was designed by teachers. Perhaps, that is why I like it so much. Additional topics covered in the workbook include upper and lowercase letters, colors, shapes, phonics, and much more.

The 30 Minute a Day Preschool Learning System workbook tends to retail between $10 and $15.

Buying Preschool Workbooks

As it was previously mentioned, you can find preschool worksheets online or you can find them inside preschool workbooks. Preschool workbooks, as you likely already know, can be purchased from a number of different retailers.

Preschool workbooks are not the only workbooks that are sold, so you will want to be careful when buying them. I have accidentally bought a few workbooks that were for older kids, because they were mixed in together.

What is also nice about preschool workbooks is that they come in a number of different formats. For instance, it is possible to find preschool workbooks, most often ones that are larger in size, which cover a wide range of topics, including colors, shapes, numbers, and more. You can also find preschool workbooks that focus on something in particular, like just colors, and so forth.

Preschool workbooks can be found available for sale in a wide range of differnet prices. For instance, there are many dollar stores that carry small sized preschool workbooks. For larger preschool workbooks, ones with more activities in them, you may need to pay a little bit more money, but it will be more than worth it.
