In my last post, I outlined how there are a number of fun and educational activities that you can do outdoors with your child during the wintertime, especially if you have snow. One of those activities is outlined below.
A great preschool science experiment with your child involves teaching them how snow melts. In addition to simply explaining the process to your child, you can do your own science experiment.
What you will want to do is have your child collect a small amount of snow in a cup or a bowl. Bring that cup or bowl filled with snow inside with you. Let your child watch the snow melt right before their eyes.
To add educational value to this preschool science experiment use this time to educate your child on snow and why it melts.
