If you are still able to collect a few leaves with your child, there are a number of preschool craft projects you can do with them. One is painting leaves.
What we did was take a sheet of paper and glue leaves to it. Then, my daughter painted the leaves.

I love this idea! My daycare kids love to paint and I know they would really like this.
