Preparing Your Child for Preschool: Teaching Them About Money – Part 3

In my last post, I outlined how giving your child a small amount of money (like .50 cents) for doing a small task can teach them about how money is earned. The next step involves teaching your child about how money is saved. This can be done with the use of a piggy bank.

Encourage your child to save their money by placing it into their money bank. Let them know that they may be able to open their own savings account or even spend the money on a new toy at a later date.
