Preparing Your Child for Preschool: Preschool Craft Project: Paper Bag Puppets

If you would like to do this fun preschool craft project with your child, you will want to continue reading on.

Needed / Recommended Preschool Craft Supplies:

Lunch Sized Paper Bags
Kids Paints or Poster Paints
Paint Brushes

Extra Supplies You May Want to Examine:

Markers
Crayons
Feathers
Pom-Poms
Craft Fur
Yarn
Stickers

Directions:

You will want to place your child’s lunch sized paper bag on a flat surface, particularly one covered with paper towels and newspapers. You will want to make sure that the folded portion of the bag, the bottom, is facing up. Have your child decorate that part as the face of their puppet. They can later paint on clothing, should they wish to do so.

In our home, we have found that our daughter likes this preschool craft project best when it is done with paint. If you do not have any paints or if you are looking for a relatively mess-free preschool craft project, your child can also use markers or crayons to make a paper bag puppet.
