Preparing Your Child for Preschool: Painting Tips

When doing preschool crafts, there is a good chance that your child will paint. Water colors are nice, but they can only go so far. For that reason, you may need to purchase more expensive styles of kids paint or poster paint.

If your toddler or preschooler is anything like mine, there is a good chance that messy is the only way to paint. To prevent wasted paint, as well as to keep all colors separated, you may want to consider using a paper plate.

What you can do is put a few drops of paint on a paper plate. If your child needs more, you can easily refill it. This small step can help to make your paints last longer, as well as reduce the amount of mess you have to clean.

I agree. Watercolor paints are nice, but once those little tubs get filled with water AND paint, they can get VERY messy. :)
